Moscow City Ballet

Moscow City Ballet returns to Chichester to present two classic productions featuring beautiful classical scores from Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky, performed by a live orchestra.

Founded by former Bolshoi Ballet soloist and choreographer Victor Smirnov-Golovanov, Moscow City Ballet is one of Russia’s most successful touring companies. They have heralded the New Year at the Theatre for over a decade - if you haven’t seen their work yet this is a perfect opportunity.

The tragic and romantic tale of star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet is one of the most celebrated and expressive ballets. Prokofiev’s dramatic score draws out the emotional intensity as Shakespeare’s greatest lovers fall passionately in love.
