The Festival may be nearly over but we’re seeing it out with a bang!
Poet Molly Naylor and singer Gavin Osborn take over the Garret theatre and bar for a night of booze-fuelled poetry and song.
Molly Naylor is a writer and performer who works across a range of mediums. She is the co-writer and creator of Sky One comedy After Hours. Theatre credits include Whenever I Get Blown Up I Think Of You (writer/performer), My Robot Heart (writer/performer) and Lights! Planets! People! (writer/director). She has been commissioned by a range of organisations including BBC Radio 4, The RSC and the BFI. Her debut poetry collection Badminton is published by Burning Eye. She is the co-director of sell-out storytelling night True Stories Live.
Gavin Osborn is an acoustic singer-songwriter. He has written for and performed on BBC Radio 4 and Resonance FM. He has done gigs with poet-songwriter-comedian John Hegley and toured the UK and Australia. He’s a regular contributor to Robin Ince’s School For Gifted Children and the annual 9 Lessons & Carols For Godless People, as part of which he ended 2008 at a sold out Hammersmith Apollo alongside Jarvis Cocker, Malcolm Middleton and comedians Stewart Lee and Ricky Gervais. He’s written and performed story shows with the award-winning Daniel Kitson at Regents Park Open Air Theatre and done a run of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.
