Our annual Halle concert will be conducted by Cristian Macelaru, who will open the programme with Faure's delightful Dolly Suite. This will be followed by Heejae Kim's interpretation of Mozart's early Piano Concerto No.9, full of youthful vitality. In the second half the orchestra will perform excerpts from what many believe to be the greatest twentieth century ballet ever written - Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet.
