The Mavron Quartet was formed in September 2002 and is the first Ensemble in Residence at the National Concert Hall of Wales, St David’s Hall, Cardiff, having been appointed in 2010. The Quartet has also enjoyed residency, since 2005, at the Gate Arts Centre, Cardiff.
In 2004 the Quartet members were appointed Junior Fellows in Chamber Music at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and since 2003, worked for the Cavatina Chamber Music Trust. The Quartet is also an alumni of Live Music Now.
