“Tiberghien created worlds” wrote one critic when Cédric Tiberghien played Chopin in May 2018. “He can move from a whisper to a roar in seconds” There’s deep romantic poetry in this programme, but there’s passion too, and from Mozart’s dark masterpiece to the exuberant fantasy of Schumann’s Kreisleriana, this is one pianist who knows exactly how to catch emotion on the wing.
