Traditional Black Country Pubs Tour

The Dudley area of the Black Country has always been well endowed with traditional pubs and breweries.

Start at the Old Swan in Netherton, a pub that is on CAMRA’s National Inventory of pubs with historic interiors and one of only four long-established home brew pubs still brewing by the 1970s. There will be a chance to look around the brewery.

Then cross Dudley to Upper Gornal to visit two more Good Beer Guide pubs, including the Britannia, another National Inventory pub. A short trip takes you to Lower Gornal and another three Good Beer Guide pubs plus the Black Country Brewery tap all within an easy walk.

Finally, leave the Black Country behind and stop briefly at the Holly Bush at Belbroughton in rural Worcestershire, the local CAMRA Pub Of The Year.
