Oysterband

A modern folk-based band, (acoustic at heart) sometimes intense, sometimes rocking – Oysterband first came together in Canterbury in 1978. Since 2008 the line-up has comprised John Jones (vocals, melodeon); Alan Prosser (guitars, vocals); Dil Davies (drums), Ian Telfer (violin, concertina, vocals) Al Scott (bass, mandolin, vocals) and Adrian Oxaal (cello, vocals). Touring the world, appearing everywhere from festivals and concerts to bars, rallies and jails, they have a dozen studio albums to their credit. This year they're touring their recently-released compilation album This House Will Stand: the best of Oysterband 1998-2015.
