Ruskin's Turners
In 1861, John Ruskin, J.M.W. Turner’s most fervent champion and critic, generously gifted 25 Turner watercolours to the Fitzwilliam. This showing includes works made for engraving, book illustration and vignettes, as well as landscapes.
The restrictions which Ruskin imposed on the terms of his gift mean that these drawings may not be lent outside the Museum. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to view them.
