Monty Python And The Holy Grail

Venture Cinema and Fitzwilliam Museum are proud to bring you an evening of not-so-heroic knights, very silly quests, killer rabbits and endlessly quotable insults.

Inspired by the Museums forthcoming exhibition ‘Colour’ the Art and Science of illuminated manuscripts, spend a night watching the timelessly hilarious, cult classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail surrounded by the Museums world-class collections.

Screened in the Red Gallery, one of the largest and most impressive in the museum, this unique evening is not to be missed.

Parodying the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a comedic send-up of the often grim circumstances of the Middle Ages.

With Knights riding around on imaginary horses, a killer bunny rabbit and the perilous Castle Anthrax this film is entirely silly. Yet even without the gags it's cinematography and imagery does well to depict the Dark Ages in all it's muddy, bloody glory.

Doors open at 6:00pm when guests can enjoy a special evening viewing of the exhibition, with an after-hours cafe and late night shopping before the film screening at 7:15pm. Spaces are strictly limited so book your ticket now.
