Krausbauer/Suzuki
Live and direct from California USA, the extremely loud, extremely psychedelic duo of Krausbauer/Suzuki.

Operating within the long-standing school of West Coast experimental composition that traces a line from the blissed-out minimalism of Terry Riley to the sunburnt spectres of Starving Weirdos, John Krausbauer (US) and Kaori Suzuki (US/JP) will present music for voices, amplified strings, electronics, and bell percussion.

Their work originates from a shared interest in ecstatic and spiritual musics as well as the 'avant-garde'. Utilizing sustained tones, alternate tunings, long durations, playing endurances and stroboscopic lighting, their performances explore the parameters and possibilities for generating psychotropic 'experiential' environments through sensory immersion.

Or Sobre Blau
An intriguing if unlikely pairing of Barcelona-born noise artist Andreu G. Serra with the UK's own experimental pop auteur Kiran Leonard. The project originated when, by chance, they shared a flat in Penha de França, Lisbon. Having both moved to Portugal at the same time, the two tended to communicate in a poor garble of Spanish, English, Portuguese and Catalan, giving rise to misunderstanding, disputes and comedy a process replicated in their approach to music-making.

With a vast array of pedals and tapes, Serra tends to create thick, winding soundscapes, and drones punctured by occasional stabs and flourishes. Against this, Leonard's agile, counter-intuitive guitar often acts as a harmonic foil: in sparser moments, the two feel their way through a hesitant counterpoint, exchanging chords and melodic fragments to build a sequence between them. However, each party still only understands two-thirds of what is going on: in this context, the unknown and wrongly-interpreted ultimately triumphs over clarity and reason.

Threshold Entities
'When Tech Workers Attack'. Return of the Silicon Fen's own basement thug unit. Echo-heavy drum machines and sheet-metal sax welding the post-industrial ramalama of Wolf Eyes to the droning guitar/bass rattle of The Dead C.
