Comberton's May Night: Geoff Norcott, Brian Higgins, Harriet Dyer, Gareth Berliner
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
He's half-comedian, half-rapper, half-impressionist. A high energy performer who presents a devastatingly accurate parody of the violently misogynistic attitudes that pervade the rap scene. He faithfully recreates the lyrics and arrogance of the genre, and uses his superb skills of mimicry to drive home the comedy.
'Master of anecdotal storytelling' (The Stage)
'Geoff Norcott is a comedian with a big future ahead of him' (Daily Mirror).

One of that not so rare breed, a mad, hard-drinking ginger-haired Scotsman, Brian Higgins is also one of that rarer set – he's funny! A favourite with students, he manages to both ignore and play up to the stereotype to laugh both with and at it, in a spellbinding set that covers everything from a 'loony childhood', his former days as a paramedic (honest), as well as life's ups and downs in an always topical set.
Described as the 'people's favourite comedian' by The Stage, combined with his energetic delivery, he never fails to deliver the goods.
'Daft but very funny' (The Guardian)
'The people's favourite comedian' (The List)
'A live wire and skilful' (Time Out)
'Brian Higgins, who has been likened to an early Billy Connolly... delivers his diatribe on life's funny - and not so funny - ups and downs in an energetic style that has made him a favourite both in the UK and as far afield as Dubai' (Funhouse Comedy).

Laughter Lounge Award winner Harriet is described by The Guardian as 'definitely one to watch'.
' She’s got funny bones' (Kevin Bridges)
'Exploring the thin line between eccentric and the mental’ is perfect comedy ground for Harriet Dyer, who seems to have lived her entire life on that interface. Her instinctively funny stand-up is packed full of weird and wonderful incidents from her strange life so far – yet however outlandish the tales, they all have an absolute ring of truth' (Steve Bennett, Chortle at the Leicester Comedy Festival)
'A bundle of whimsical hilarity… a breath of fresh air... will have you in stitches' (Broadway Baby)
'Dyer made the audience feel at home and managed to wow the crowd… Loveable and delightful' (Three Weeks).

Gareth's unique perspective provides intricately woven anecdotes and sharply crafted gags laced with hilarity. He has received a slew of 4 star reviews for his shows at the Melbourne, Adelaide and Edinburgh Festivals.
'Berliner is a natural storyteller with more soul than 100 other comedians' (Metro)
'He's cheaper than Prozac and, by the end of the show, you feel that you've made a new friend' (The Age, Melbourne).
