Daphnis And Chloe
Cambridge Youth Opera brings a ray of midsummer sunshine to brighten up the January gloom in this Offenbach romp.
Naïve Daphnis and beautiful, shy Chloe are in love, but they are too innocent to know what to do about it. Pan, disguised as a statue wants nothing more than to entice Chloe to love him. Meanwhile a troupe of dancers, followers of the great Isadora Duncan, all fancy Daphnis. Will the scandalous Isadorables win over Daphnis? Will Chloe escape the clutches of the god? Will true love win out over jealousy and intrigue? All will be revealed as Edwardian Cambridge meets ancient Greece in this hilarious farce.
