Louise Parker, Max Turnbull

Louise Parker is well-known on the south west jazz circuit for her soulful rendition of jazz standards and blues. A highlight of the 2013 festival, Louise showcased her much-loved tribute to Billie Holiday and has since launched a successful tribute to Nina Simone.

For this event Louise will present an eclectic set of songs, ranging from the Great American songbook to jazz/reggae fusion, bossa nova, rumba, as well as her take on Bill Withers and Leonard Cohen.

Louise will be accompanied by her regular pianist, Max Turnbull – original and quirky, he manages to inject sublime comedy into his playing as well as great beauty and emotion.
