The Game's Afoot, Try The Fish & The Man With The Hip Double Bill

The first two critically acclaimed Charlie Montague Mysteries from award-winning writer-performer and Buzz Comedy Club favourite Tom Taylor.

Weaving Wodehousian witticisms, farce and highly quotable one-liners into a pair of intriguing 1930s whodunits, Tom Taylor’s rakish aristocrat Charlie Montague is the next gentleman – loosely termed – to have a stab at detective work.

Inspired by the Hippodrome’s latest mystery play, Charlie takes out an advert offering his services as a consulting detective and, one breakfast later, finds himself on his first case: he must prevent a murder. The chap dies.

Not put off in the slightest, The Man with the Twisted Hip sees Charlie accept an invitation to the opening of a new art exhibition where he is presented with the double-threat of murder and modern art. He is equally baffled by both.

Packed with nonstop laughs from start to finish, The Game’s a Foot, Try the Fish was a smash hit at the Edinburgh Festival where it performed a three-week sell-out run, collected a host of four- and five-star reviews and marked Taylor out as one of the country’s most exciting new comedians and writers.
