It’s Christmas and a group of friends have gathered to celebrate. Petty squabbles begin to break out, eventually leading to chaos and very nearly tragedy.

Ayckbourn’s black comedy is never bleak as its spotlight on a dysfunctional family is packed with farcical mishaps and wonderful set-pieces – such as the incredibly incompetent puppet show and one of the most hilariously awkward love scenes in British theatre.
