The horticulurist and gardening TV presenter discusses his captivity in Colombia, where a plant hunting expedition went dangerously wrong. When guerrillas told him he was going to die, he planned a 'world garden' for his ancestral home, Lullingstone Castle in Kent. That garden has now opened its doors to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
