Madama Butterfly
One of the world’s most popular operas, Madama Butterfly tells the story of a young Japanese girl who falls in love with an American naval lieutenant.
Over the course of three years she is rejected by her family, abandoned by her lover and left with little hope. Puccini’s opera is tragic and beautiful, featuring the melodic Humming Chorus and the unforgettable arias One Fine Day and Love Duet.
With a spectacular Japanese garden and fabulous costumes, this lavish production features international soloists and the full Chisinau National Opera and National Philharmonic.
