Angel Falls
Ben Heason is the UK mountaineer who made the first free climbed ascent of the 3,200-feet wall of Angel Falls, the world’s highest waterfall, in Venezuala in 2005. In this inspirational lecture, full of breathtaking slides, he relives the adventure.
The expedition, climbing at the highest level in an incredibly remote region of the planet, is regarded as one of the most difficult climbs in its field in decades. Ben describes the 6-day journey to reach the Falls, the diverse flora, fauna & culture, along with the 3-week climb itself – including 14 nights sleeping on the wall. This is not merely the story of an audacious rock climb on one of the natural wonders of the world, but the emotions and experiences encountered along the way.
