Don your eye-patch, splice the main brace and join for this fantastic, pirate themed, family fun day.

Bring your aspiring little buccaneers along for a day of high adventure and steam powered plundering with activities galore across the entire railway.

Set sail aboard the Pirate Express and travel the length and breadth of the East Lancs line on a swashbuckling adventure to break an ancient curse, battle enemy pirates and find the ancient treasure.

X marks the spot in this fantastical family day out where you’ll join the cast of characters as they take you on a magical journey you’ll never forget!

What's Included?

Two return trips from Bury to Rawtenstall hauled by one of our very own galleon's, a heritage steam train
A four hour buccaneering experience with some of East Lancashire's Scurviest Dogs
Pirate themed activities
Plenty of photo opportunities

The Pirate Adventure Family Fun Day will begin at promptly at 10:30am at Bury Bolton Street Station and will finish back in Bury at approximately 2:30pm.

Due to the duration of this event you may wish to bring/purchase refreshments.

Grub (food) and grog (drink) will be available to purchase from the café on Platform 3/4 at Bury Bolton Street Station and from the on-train buffet.
