Martin has been nominated an amazing 26 times in the 12 years of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards - more than any other performer - with 9 consecutive years as nominee for Musician of The Year, which he has won twice. Lucy Ward won the BBC 2 Folk Award for best newcomer in 2012. She has the ability to still an audience with the strength and purity of her voice. A fine songwriter, a consummate performer.
