To celebrate ten years of music making in the city, the Brunel Sinfonia have put together a special concert showcasing exactly what they do best - this is set to be a stonking evening. On the programme are full scale orchestra works: Mahler's powerful first symphony, Rachmaninov's emotional piano concerto number two and a world premiere of Bristol-based (and former Brunel Sinfonia viola player) Caroline Besterman's Pictures of Bristol. For the Rachmaninov the orchestra is very excited to be joined by the astonishingly gifted local young soloist Cyrus Cheng.
