Singer/guitarist Jim Jones’s distinctive musical history has spanned several incarnations including The Jim Jones Revue, Black Moses and Thee Hypnotics. Now with his new band, Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind, Jones and crew are sailing further into dark musical waters in search of rare and exotic beasts.
Taking the band name from a book of social psychology, Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind -- the latest manifestation of Jones's ever-evolving sonic vision -- were in the recording studio conjuring a new collection of songs a mere five days after The Jim Jones Revue had played their last encore at their final sold out show at London’s Forum at the end of 2014.
Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind are: Jim Jones (vocals, guitar), Gavin Jay (bass), Joe Glossop (keys), Phil Martini (drums) and David Page (pedal steel / theremin).

Citing influences from Tom Waits, The Kills, Josh T Pearson & Duke Garwood, John Presley & his band conjure up their own concoction of Blues with a Folk Noir attention to detail. Live, Presley is a powerhouse of fuzz, tone and grandeur alongside moments of delicate song writing and controlled performance. Described by BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart as fulfilling “music’s need for a new dark lord”, Presley has also seen praise from The Guardian, Q Magazine, Classic Rock Magazine, The Independent, The Quietus and many more.
