Mendelssohn The Hebrides Overture (‘Fingal’s Cave’)
Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor
Mozart Symphony No 40 in G minor

Oxford Philomusica returns to St George’s armed with scores by Mozart and Mendelssohn, including the latter’s thrilling and endlessly popular ‘Fingal’s Cave’ Overture, which came in at No 55 in this year’s Classic FM ‘Hall of Fame’.

Joining the orchestra is violinist Michael Barenboim, son of the eminent conductor Daniel Barenboim. Michael made his concert debut in Chicago in 2013 and has impressed critics and audiences as he continues to make his stage debuts at prestigious venues across the globe. He is sure to do the same as he makes his first appearance at St George’s.
