The beguiling sound of the kora, a harp-lute from West Africa, is played with great rhythmic intensity by Seckou Keita, a griot from Senegal who is also a master of the djembe drum.
While the kora usually has 21 strings, Keita has followed an ancient tradition by adding another, which explains the name of his latest album, 22 Strings (a runaway success, and currently the biggest hit in world music), and the title of this entrancing solo show.
