Metal Hammer Presents Defenders Of The Faith Tour: Amon Amarth + Carcass + Bleed From Within + Hell
Melodic death metal heroes Amon Amarth are confirmed as the headliners of Metal Hammer's fourth Defenders Of The Faith tour, which storms its way across the UK this November.
Joining the tour as special guests will be reactivated death metal innovatorCarcass whose latest album 'Surgical Steel', their first in seventeen years, will be released in September.
Support comes in the shape of hotly tipped Glaswegian deathcore outfit Bleed From Within and Hell; the cult mid-eighties heavy metal act whose follow up to 2011 album 'Human Remains' is due for release in October.
Talking to Metal Hammer magazine earlier this month, Amon Amarth guitarist Olavi Mikkonen commented: "November has never felt this far away and we can’t wait to storm your shores again with the Defenders Of The Faith tour. We're bringing an epic 'Deceiver of The Gods' stage set and our good friends in Carcass will be with us to create mayhem across your lands. See you soon…"

British extreme metal legends widely regarded as pioneers of the grindcore genre.
Carcass tour dates
Brutal death metal is the order of the day from this Glaswegian quintet. Chugging, raw riffery collides with frill-free blasts to create a face-melting sound.
Bleed From Within tour dates
After a 24 year silence, NWOBHM pioneers Hell return to the world of metal. Cited as a huge indirect influence, and as one of the true founding fathers of occult metal, the band formed in 1982 from the carcasses of UK metal bands Race Against Time and Paralex. Seemingly plagued by disaster, Hell were shunned by the metal press at the time, who could not get their collective heads around a band so different and ahead of their time. Add to this a bankrupt label, and the tragic suicide of singer/guitarist Dave Halliday, the world was not yet ready for Hell. The band now return with re-recordings of 10 classics from the 80s, and armed with legendary metal producer, guitarist Andy Sneap replacing Halliday on guitar, and David Bower on vocals, Hell's legacy is reborn.
