Live_Transmission: The Heritage Orchestra + Scanner + Matt Watkins
Live Transmission is an immersive multi–sensory performance inspired by one of the UK's most influential groups, Joy Division.
Heritage Orchestra joins forces with sound artist Scanner and video artist Matt Watkins in creating a new large scale piece of work.
Using the latest sound design and other creative technologies, this sonic and visual spectacle turns the tables on conventional concert experience.
This event takes place at Colston Hall, which has achieved Bronze Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Heritage Orchestra rocks out arenas, messes with other peoples music, and keeps orchestral tradition in the cellar. Since 2004 this renegade ensemble has written it's own music, veered wildly between genres, and collaborated with a diverse and high profile array of artists. HO has embraced sound, visual, and adaptive music technology in ways that make other orchestras recoil in fear, and revels in challenging the idea of what live music can be…

Traversing, disturbing and redefining the experimental terrain between sound, space, image and form, Robin Rimbaud, aka Scanner, is an artist whose aural landscape integrates anything from sonic snapshots of the city to the nomadic fragments of mobile phone conversations. In 2004 the Tate Modern commissioned Sound Surface as their first ever-sonic installation, whilst permanent examples of his work can be heard in the Science Museum London (Sound Curtains) and the Raymond Poincar hospital in Garches, France (Channel of Flight). Scanner has collaborated on project with Bryan Ferry, Steve McQueen, Laurie Anderson, Merce Cunningham and Philips Electronics. Scanner describes himself as a minimalist anti-hero with an attraction towards alien activities in creativity.
