25th Anniversary Tour
When Soul II Soul founder Jazzie B and a school friend were 13, they used to get around town with their sound system to go to play dances via the number 14 bus and a shopping trolley. Originally playing mainly reggae, they switched it up with more funk and Soul, and Soul II Soul came into existence. The Soul II Soul eclectic, all-inclusive vibe became legendary at their regular spot at Covent Garden’s Africa Centre, and their following quickly grew as they reflected London’s multi-racial party scene. In 1988 Virgin Records caught on, and the rest is history.
Now known the world over for hits including Keep on Movin’ and Back to Life, Soul II Soul's sound that was original, new, fresh and infectious. To date they have sold over 10 million albums in over 35 territories worldwide, performed in over 20 countries, and appeared at some of the most famous venues in the world including Wembley and New York’s Universal Ample Theatre. They’ve won two Grammys, and Jazzie B has been awarded an OBE and won the Ivor Novello Award for Inspiration.
