Originally scored by Philip Glass, Godfrey Reggio’s ‘Koyaanisqatsi’ is a remarkable cinematic masterpiece. Its powerful conjunction of music and image resonated so much with GoGo Penguin that in 2015 they composed a new score, generating a contemporary dialogue with Reggio’s profound images.
Their rich, textured music illuminates the film’s original poignancy anew, to create a live audio-visual experience that will appeal to fans of GoGo Penguin and cult cinema in equal measure.
