Chaplin's Greatest Comedy Shorts
Actor, musician, writer, and theatre director Simon Callow pays homage to his silent comedy idol Charlie Chaplin and introduces three of the shorts made for the Mutual Film Corporation during a period Chaplin later described as the happiest in his life.
On the big screen will be The Vagabond (1916), Easy Street (1917) and The Pawn Shop (1917) – all accompanied live by the European Silent Screen Virtuosi, featuring Günter A. Buchwald (piano and violin), Frank Bockius (percussion), Romano Todesco (double bass) and special guests.
