Slapstick presents an evening of rarely seen silent comedies starring outstanding women - on the big screen, with live music, in the glorious setting of Bristol’s magnificent cathedral. Prepare for a mix of celebration, laughter and discovery as comedian and writer Shappi Khorsandi,she introduces shorts featuring the superb Mabel Normand, Louise Fazenda, Dorothy Devore and Gale Henry among others.
With live musical accompaniment from the European Silent Screen Virtuosi (Guenter A. Buchwald, Frank Bockius and Romano Todesco). Curated by Steve Massa, Author of Slapstick Divas: The Women Of Silent Comedy.
