Another big event has been added to the calendar of concerts for this summer in Bristol. Musician, DJ and actor Goldie will be performing live in the amphitheatre on Bristol's Harbourside on Saturday, July 25th.
The British drum and bass icon will be accompanied by an orchestra as he plays his groundbreaking album Timeless, which was released 20 years ago.
The album, which made it to number seven in the UK charts, was seen as a significant moment in the history of dance music as it combined jungle and drum and bass music with strings and female vocals.
Goldie has reworked the album with the Heritage Orchestra, known for their collaborations with pop artists, and an expanded version will be played in Bristol – the only venue outside London that will stage the event.
The concert is being brought to Bristol by Bristol Music Trust, the organisation that runs the Colston Hall. Jules Buckley will conduct the orchestra.
