Citizen George
Citizen George is a fantastic tale about the meeting of 3 prisoners in a French gaol during the French Revolution written by Brian Weaving.
Citizen George is concealing his true identity, that of Joseph de Bologne, the Chevalier de Saint-Georges. A truly remarkable figure of the 18th Century.
A son of a slave of African descent, he became a colonel in the army, an expert swordsman, composer and musician. This play is a fictional account of his arrest during the revolution.
All the characters will be played by a strong dynamic cast of actresses adding another level to the way the play looks at prejudice and misconceptions.
