Dundry Slopes Discovery Day

Dundry Slopes Discovery Day is here again for the third year! The afternoon will be jam-packed with nature-themed activities, including a wildlife walk led by Avon Wildlife Trust ecologist Mary Wood, a family bug hunt with Tony Smith (Bristol Naturalists' Society) and mammal tracking with Gill Brown (Otter Group). Other stalls and activities include CSV, The Hawk and Owl Trust, Hedgehog Rescue and much more!

There will be a chance to learn about creating wild flower meadows and to get involved planting wild flower plugs on the day. This is part of a wider project to make the entrance to Dundry Slopes more welcoming and encourage people to explore this fantastic nature-rich site. The area will also be a demonstration site for Avon Wildlife Trust's new 'My Wild City' project, to illustrate what people can do in their own back gardens to help wildlife. As part of this, the Trust will be giving away FREE starter kits for people to take home to enhance their garden for wildlife.
