Brighton Jazz School

SCJF is pleased to welcome and present Wayne McConnell and the Brighton Jazz School in this annual event with the addition of a South Coast Jazz Festival special: a multi band concert of students from BJS, Chichester College, and University of Chichester.

This day is dedicated to the late Simon D’souza, whose widow Susan will be attending and contributing to the awards to be given out at the event, as a legacy of Simon's positive contribution to the jazz and education scene in the South Coast region.

The first part of the day is a forum of invited educators and participants designed to raise awareness of, and create links across the strong grass-roots jazz education scene around Brighton. The afternoon will be taken up with educational activities presented by professionals and students alike, to an open group of students of jazz – please let them know if this interests you (age minimum 17).

The evening concert is a showcase of three exciting regional jazz courses.
