Lesley Woods, formerly from brilliant post punk band The Au Pairs plays a rare Brighton gig. With special guest Helen McCookerybook.
Birmingham band The Au Pairs made 2 LPs, several singles, recorded Peel sessions and were led by Lesley Woods, once described as 'one of the most striking women in British rock'. Lesley formed an all female group, The Darlings late 1980s, left the music industry and is now back!!
Helen McCookerybook, bass player with 1977 Brighton punks Joby and the Hooligans, formed The Chefs two years later. Her 80s band, Helen and the Horns recorded three Peel sessions. Helen's made several solo CDs including a co-release with Martin Stephenson.
