Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun + Stop Press
Jim Lockey & the Solemn Sun announce a marathon tour of the UK for early 2013. The run throughout February is more a statement of intent than just a tour from a band staking their claim for the hearts and minds of the British people.
These anarcho-anglo storytellers draw from a plethora of influences including alt. country folk and hardcore punk.
The Cheltenham four piece changed their name from Jim Lockey & The Solemn Suns, to simply Solemn Sun in 2014. As well as changing their moniker, their music also changed somewhat, with an edgier and darker sound, there are no acoustic guitars while a heavy electronic element helps separate it even further from their previous work.

Stop Press! are a soulful ska / indie five piece from The South East.
Described as music made up of 'jumpy rhythms and soulful tones', the band draws influence from technical indie and authentic 1st wave ska/reggae movements to create an inventive blend of contemporary summer vibes. Devoted to their inspirations, Stop Press! aim to enlighten minds and lighten moods with the music they have to offer.
