Mephistopheles Smith, backed up by his two ‘Devilettes’, is the Evangelist For Hell - preaching to his audience about the virtues of living in Hell through witty comparison with life on Earth as we live it today. The show developed from an initial three song version, performed by Richard O’Brien at the 1992 UK Rocky Horror Convention, into a full stage production which previewed at the 1995 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and went on to run at The Comedy Theatre in London’s West End in 1996.
