Stara Rzeka

Kuba Zio?ek is well known in the Polish underground for his work as a member of the bands Alameda 3, T'ien Lai, Hokei and Innercity Ensemble among others, but it is Stara Rzeka that has brought him widest acclaim, not only in his homeland, but abroad. His album "Cien? Chmury Nad Ukrytym Polem" was recently placed at number 12 in a list of the best releases of the year by The Quietus, for music fusing mysterious folk with black metal, drone, kosmische and magic brutalism. His live performances are based on static clouds of vibrating drones made up of electric guitar, electronics and voice.
