Brighton Comedy Festival 2013: I've Got A Shed: Andy Parsons
To date Andy has done three sell-out national tours and in 2009 released his debut DVD 'Britain's Got Idiots', which was followed up by 'Gruntled' in 2011. He releases his 3rd DVD in late 2013.
Andy started in TV on Spitting Image becoming one of the main writers before embarking on a stand-up career which has led to such shows as Mock The Week and Live at the Apollo.
This, his fourth show, is his favourite yet – come and get your dopamine fix. Andy Parsons - coming near to a theatre near you – and then throwing his satnav out the window and phoning for directions.
"It's great to welcome sharp, topical comedy on to the live circuit - and Parsons remains one of its most skilful exponents" The Guardian
"Andy Parsons' lethal mixture of anger and ridicule leaves the Big Society in tatters" The Times.
This event takes place at Brighton Dome, which has achieved Bronze Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Andy has enjoyed huge success as a writer and performer on television, radio and the live comedy stage.
As well as a series regular on the award-winning Mock The Week (BBC 2), Andy has had numerous spots on Live At The Apollo (BBC 1), QI (BBC2), The Politics Show (BBC1), Newsnight (BBC2), The World’s Most Dangerous Roads (BBC2), Comedy World Cup (Channel 4), Saturday Live (ITV) and Channel 4’s Comedy Gala At The O2. He was also one of the main writers on the original Spitting Image on ITV.
'His delivery multiplies the humour. Big laughs unloading both barrels at British
political and public life' (The Guardian)
'A merciless, Swiftian dissection. Bubbling over with righteous and very funny
indignation' (The Times)
'Laugh out loud funny... manages to be utterly likeable and very funny while being Mr Angry at the state of the world' (The Sunday Telegraph)
'Terrific satirical stand-up' (Independent on Sunday)
'Hysterical live show. Andy Parsons is on fire' (The Daily Mirror)
'What he lacks in hair, Parsons more than makes up for in originality' (The Daily
'Britain's got precious few perceptive informed satirists, and Parsons is one of the best' (Mail on Sunday)
'Parsons is acerbic, sharp-witted and edgy...taking well-aimed potshots at politicians, celebrities and anyone who dares to talk rubbish' (The Daily Express).
