The Nightingales, I Ludicrous

Formed by members of Brum's original punk band The Prefects, The Nightingales enjoyed cult status in the 80s and were championed by John Peel. Re-grouped in 2004, they're more productive than ever, releasing several albums, recording radio sessions & touring. Current line up features Robert Lloyd, (The Prefects), Andreas Schmid from Faust, James Smith and ex Violet Violet drummer Fliss Kitson.

I, Ludicrous achieved immortality in 1987 when 'Preposterous Tales' reached number 11 in Peelie's Festive 50. Their line-up since 2008 includes Martin Brett from Voice of The Beehive. Latest LP 'Dull is the New Interesting' received brilliant reviews.
