Richard Alston is delighted to be presenting his new piece Buzzing Round the Hunnisuccle, this commission by the world renowned Columbia Foundation, is inspired by Alston’s long held fascination with the music of Jo Kondo. In Buzzing Round the Hunnisuccle Alston celebrates the contrasting nature of two Kondo compositions, he combines the rapid light rhythms of Isthmus with the calm-hushed chords of Hunnisuccle in a dance of nimble and breathtaking precision.

Shimmer is danced to the sun-drenched music of Ravel played live. Fashion designer Julien Macdonald’s fabulous, jewel-encrusted cobweb costumes illuminate dazzling streaks of limpid choreography in a ravishingly beautiful piece of theatre.
