A Night At The Opera In 1946

The evening is curated and presented by British conductor Lee Reynolds, who works regularly with Garsington Opera’s Learning and Participation programme, is Music Director of Glyndebourne Youth Opera and The Kantanti Ensemble, and is an emerging conductor with first rate symphony orchestras and opera companies.

The evening will have a relaxed salon style appealing to those new to opera, as well as the aficionado! The first act will be the storytelling of Tchaikovsky’s most beautiful and most heartbreaking opera EUgene Onegin. Lee will guide us through the opera whilst award winning female soprano soloist Kirsty Taylor Stokes and baritone Benjamin Lewis will perform with accompaniment on grand piano.

The second act will be a showcase of opera classics, such as La Boheme and Figaro, that everyone will know and love.

Audience are urged to dress in the fashion of the time, a pre drink and authentic 1946 canapes as part of the ticket will top your evening off.

This is a truly one off fully immersive experience, so don’t miss out!
