Forged from the voices of Hannah James (Kerfuffle, Demon Barbers), Hazel Askew (Askew Sisters) and Rowan Rheingans (Fidola), Lady Maisery explores three-part vocal harmony to breathtaking effect, through brave reworkings of traditional 'old folk' songs: of protest, of warning, of the sinned-against.
Reviving the old art of 'diddling' (tune-singing), gently adorned with an entrancing blend of accordion, harp, banjo, concertina, fiddle, ban-sitar and percussive clog dancing, this is a hauntingly beautiful foray into folklore singing.
