Purcell Jazz Octet, Simon Allen (2), Quentin Collins

This special event is an evening of exciting large ensemble jazz from senior members of the Purcell School of Music Jazz Department. These talented sixth-formers (many of whom are off to music college next autumn) include 2016 BBC Young Jazz Musician winner Alexandra Ridout on trumpet, and on sax 2014 runner-up Sean Payne (then aged 13!), and guitarist Charlie Heywood, all of whom have previously appeared at Bracknell Jazz.

The Octet will be led by the Head of Jazz at Purcell, UK jazz saxophonist Simon Allen, and will feature special guest trumpet virtuoso Quentin Collins.
