Exploring the way that families are often bound together by guilt, shame and secrecy, On the Shore of the Wide World is an elegant and sensitive study of three generations spanning nine months and a life's worth of missed opportunities. This is an epic piece about love, family, Roy Keane and the size of the galaxy.
Simon Stephens is one of the most exciting and prominent theatre voices to have emerged out of the last ten years. This play won the Olivier Award for best new play in 2006.
