Canadian singer songwriter Dallas Green, aka City and Colour, is formerly the guitarist and vocalist of post hardcore outfit Alexisonfire (2001-2012). He plays melodic acoustic and folk music, notable in the recently released new album entitled 'The Hurry and The Harm' (universal).
The album debuted at #1 on the Canadian Album Charts, selling 23,000 copies in its first week and is City and Colour's second consecutive album to debut at #1 on the chart.
City and Colour
Canadian Dallas Green's alter ego, because his name is in fact a city followed by a, erm, colour. His accolades include Songwriter Of The Year – Juno Awards 2009, Best new Solo Artist in the Rock Category at the Canadian Radio Music Awards, and Last FM's Artist Of The Week in June 2010. City and Colour's live shows have sold out thousand-seat venues across his native North America and respectably-sized European shows weeks in advance, including an April 2011 performance at the UK's treasured Royal Albert Hall, which sold out in mere hours.
