The Big Dig - Durotriges Open Day

The Durotriges Big Dig Project is an archaeological investigation, located near Winterborne Kingston, studying the transition from the late Iron Age to the early Roman period in southern England.

It is a fantastic hands on learning experience for the students and members of the public who are also taking part through the summer field school programme.

The open day is a chance to see what the current season’s digging has revealed through a guided tour of the site and a chance to look at the artefacts recovered.

Last year’s Big Dig discovered five skeletons near a Roman Villa, come to discover what this year reveals!
