Reverse Mentoring: Teaching an Old Dog New Tricks!

Reverse mentoring (RM) is a strategy used in industry whereby younger, less experienced employees share their knowledge and expertise with a more senior people, e.g. using social media effectively.

A team of Bournemouth University students and staff will report the findings of a study into the RM experiences of over 100 students who spent a year in industry and will discuss their views on effective intergenerational knowledge transfer within the workplace.

Equipped with this knowledge participants will be given the opportunity to discuss how RM could be embedded in their organisations.
