A Celebration Of John Foster
How to Execute Sitting. A play about the anarchic and eccentric John Foster, Bournemouth’s most prolific story-teller.
Foster started writing in his lunch hour, as a clerk at Poole Council and ended
up in Hollywood. His early scripts were for the TV cop show Z-Cars. Foster later battled to have a drama broadcast, similar to Fifty Shades of Grey, which the BBC feared would outrage moral crusader Mary Whitehouse. Foster once scripted four episodes of the TV soap Emmerdale in four days. How to Execute Sitting celebrates Foster’s very funny life as he nears the milestone of his 500th play.
How to Execute Sitting is an original one-hour play celebrating the unique life of Bournemouth University’s John Foster.
