The Fire Garden

Embark on a family-friendly adventure into a fiery night-time landscape! A central Bournemouth location will be transformed into a temporary sculptural scene of flame and foliage, bathing the landscape in a golden glow. Wander into a world that can only be seen under cover of darkness, glimpsing intricately carved flaming flower boxes and delicately patterned floral chimneys, where trees crackle and blaze, flame tipped bulrushes sway in the evening breeze, and colossal lilies belch plumes of fire when you least expect it.

Created by outdoor arts experts, Walk the Plank, ‘The Fire Garden’ is an illuminating arts experience brimming with sights and sounds, designed for people of all ages to discover and enjoy. This will be the first time the installation – which has previously toured to award-winning festivals and events – will have been seen in Bournemouth. It has been adapted since to allow for social distancing.

Nathan Jackson, Producer, Walk the Plank said: “The Fire Garden is a really spectacular experience – and one that appeals to audiences and communities of all ages and backgrounds. There’s something about heat and light that brings people together and it’s that opportunity to share in something really unusual and unexpected that makes outdoor arts activities so special.”
